Washington D.C.'s National ZOO!

We have had so much fun this weekend! Yesterday with the Great Falls National Park, and today with the National Zoo. We decided to spare ourselves the crazy driving and parking situation of the city and ride the metro. It is so much easier with Josh helping with the stroller, and the bag, and the baby!
Josh says he had seen all 175,000 different species in the world....well, except the Panda Bear which would complete that great number... SO, we saw the Pandas. They were very cool. We saw 2 enjoying their meal of bamboo, and one totally involved with his toy...a cardboard box.
As we were leaving the Pandas on to our next adventure there was a rock wall with a massive snake climbing through all the crevices. As we watched the snake, in no confined space we learned that the snake was wild, and recently found. The zoo people were just going to continue to keep an eye on him. Crazy huh.
We also saw an OCTOPUS! It was little but I dont remember Hogle Zoo ever having an octopus.
Henry had a lot of fun. He didn't want to hang out in his stroller much though...I guess we are getting to that stage...
Anyway, enjoy the pictures!

Henry is totally tuckered out..... What a day!

Great Falls National Park

I figured I better write this morning and tell you a little bit about our adventure at Great Falls National Park because we are going to the Zoo today and I am afraid I'll get them confused, and I wont write for a while...Anyway. I didnt have to watch Marcus yesterday or Monday and my husband doesn't start work until Tuesday, so we have one last long weekend to do some fun things.
Great Falls National Park was incredibly beautiful. It has some beautiful falls, and there were even some people kayaking on them. They were fun to watch. It's amazing because the water doesn't look so fast on top but they had this picture showing how easy it is to get pulled under and trapped. There was a little town in the area of the park once, and some of the town's ruins are still there. It was really a great day. Enjoy the pictures!

Some pictures of the water.... Can you see the Herrin??

Utah Vacation 4/22/2010-5/1/2010

We're Home.......................! We are excited to be home! We missed Daddy. We had so much fun in Utah though! We saw so many people! Henry and I flew out for Aunty Kate's wedding which was April 24, 2010. She was so beautiful. The Temple was incredible, and she had crepes at her reception! CREPES! Crazy. It was so much fun though. I love her and miss her. Then, we got to visit with so much family! I love hanging out with everyone!! There are pictures with grandmas and grandpas, and cousins, and more! Enjoy!

Happy Nine MONTHS!

Sweet Henry turned 9 MONTHS just last week. I remember seeing 9 month old clothes, and thinking that my baby would never be that big! and it seems he is one size bigger then is age always! Henry is into EVERYTHING! He is crawling and climbing on everything. He loves to explore. Favorite rooms? He loves the bathroom and laundry room... probably because those are most unfamiliar.
Measurements:
Height: 28 1/4 inches - 50%
Weight: 20 Lbs 13 Oz - 58%
Head Circum: 18 1/8 inches - 74%
Big boy and growing steadily!
Henry is teething, which is a little un-enjoyable, but we are excited for his new little chompers...there are 4 on top!
Stay tuned for some fun Utah pictures!

One More

This seems to be his favorite sleeping position. We're afraid he'll grow up with a crooked spine if he keeps sleeping like this, but we can't keep him from crawling to the ends of the crib while he is falling asleep, or is sleep crawling.

Bed Time

Henry has developed some interesting sleeping styles. It is usually tough to catch on camera because he rolls around a lot while he sleeps, but last night we were able to catch this pose. He seems to like sleeping with his hands or feet elevated against the bars of his crib... strange kid...

Go Sox!

Yesterday Josh tried putting a Washington Nationals Hat on Henry. This was the response he kept getting from Henry. He either hates the Nats, or is a fan of some other team, probably the Sox. I guess we will have to wait until he starts talking to see which one it is.
